Dr. Joe Herald grew up in Fort Thomas, KY, where he attended Highlands High School. He went on to college at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and graduated from Huntingdon college in Montgomery, AL in 2003. He then went to get his D.M.D. at the University of Kentucky where he graduated in 2007.

Dr. Rebecca Gavin was born and raised a Buckeye in Columbus, Ohio. In 2018, she graduated from The Ohio State University earning her Bachelors Degree in Biology. While completing her Bachelors, Dr. Gavin competed as a 4-year varsity athlete on the OSU women's softball team and attained Academic All-Conference and All-America Honors.
